Accompany a Refugee
Attend our group events and make lots of refugee friends. Each month, you will join one or more refugees in participating in the events of the evening.
Details
Expectations
- Attend our monthly group events
- Support refugee friends through the activities at the events
- Fill out a 5-minute monthly report
- Touch base with Of One Heart representative, as needed
Registration
Step 1 - Application & Waiver
Step 2 - AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Level 1
- Non-IVP
- Must meet statute ARS: 46-141 (such as DES – Certified Child Care Provider and Non-Certified Relative Provider)
Some fingerprint locations will take your fingerprints digitally and SUBMIT them digitally. This may expedite the arrival of your fingerprint card.
Once you have received your card, please email a copy to Connect@OfOneHeart.org.
Step 3 - Refugee Journey Presentation
Attend a presentation, virtual or in-person, to learn about refugees and the journey they take to get to our communities.
Interview
When you have completed steps 1-3, please email us with dates/times you are available so we can schedule an interview.
